ALTON U3A ARTS SHOWCASE

This event showcases the rich artistic and creative talents of the u3a's members, including exhibitions and presentations of arts, photography, painting, embroidery and other textile art, creative writing and local history and performances by the u3a's ukelele group.  Welcome to everyone of all ages.

Come along to the Community Centre to see a showcase of some of the wide range of artistic and creative talents of Alton u3a's members, including

- Displays of painting and photography

- Exhibitions and displays of crafts and stitched textile arts

- The chance to sample mini sagas from our creative writing groups

- Demonstrations and exhibitions of embroidery

- Fascinating facts from the history of Alton

- Presentations covering a range of artistic areas and disciplines from our art appreciation group

- Two special performances from our ukulele group

Entry for all of this is free and everyone (of all ages!) is welcome.

Altonu3a is the largest "club" in Alton with 850 members, offering >80 different groups and activities from September to May; new members are always welcome.  Please see alton.u3asite.uk for full details.
