Ticket FAQs

Do you have your own box office?

Because this is our first festival, and to ensure data protection and full safety and compliance for all transactions, we have made the decision to run all ticketing through a licensed partner- We Got Tickets - known for their transparency and ethical business practices.

Do you charge booking fees?

Alton Arts Festival does not charge any additional fees or levies on top of ticket prices, and we are a not-for-profit organisation. We have worked as hard as we can to keep ticket prices affordable. However, our ticket partner, We Got Tickets, charges a small booking fee on all tickets to cover their administrative costs and transaction fees.

Can I get a refund or exchange?

From the moment that the transaction is completed, all Alton Arts Festival tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless a show is cancelled or the particulars of the show change in a substantial way (For example, the date of the performance is changed) that results in you being unable or unwilling to attend, in which case we will let you know and reimburse the price of the tickets as soon as possible.

I’m going to arrive late, is that ok?

If you arrive late for an event for which you have tickets, you may not be allowed to enter. The venue decides whether or not to admit latecomers. It is your responsibility to arrive before or at the advertised start time. No refunds will be granted for refusal of entry to an event due to late arrival on the part of the customer.

Alton could be particularly busy during the festival and parking is often limited. This could affect travel times so please make sure you have enough time to get to your show.

Do I need to print my tickets?

No you do not. When you book online you will be sent ‘e-tickets’ to the email address you provide. We do not post physical tickets in an effort to reduce waste.

All AAF venues will accept digital copies displayed on a phone or tablet to avoid you having to print tickets at home. If you lose your tickets you will need to show ID to be allowed entry. This must be a passport, driving licence or identity card.
